MAD Rice: 1000% MASTERSPARKING!

This is absolutely amazing. This has probably gotten me ideas for the Another Dream literary component. If you're wondering what another dream is, go here. It's a fan made WESTERN touhou project. I do enjoy writing from time to time, so maybe a Yuyuko and Youmu based tale is in order.

Pang Rice: Pangya With Voices AKA Kooh is Perfectly Casted

If you didn't know already, I am the biggest Kooh fan in the USA for the Pangya world; PC system and Super Swing Golf. Recently, news of the Japan client adding additional voices has struck major interest; they've never talked before, and by purchase of a certain clubset or won by lottery, you can have all your lovely ladies (Or handsome men, excluding Uncle Bob and shota Scout) voice their motions.

Frankly all I care about is Kooh and I don't give a damn about anyone else (Except Hana).

PANGYA! YOOOSH... GANBARUZOU!

I can't identify the others in this video, but I know that voice anywhere; Kugimiya Rie voices Kooh (Shana of Shakugan no Shana, Louise of Zero no Tsukaima) . COMPLETE MATCH. I can't think of anyone else besides Chiwa Saito taking up the task. A little Tsundere and strong pirate.

Here is a profile cut from a friend's web blog, what I consider to be one of the best Pangya resources in general: Sweatdrop's Zoints

Well, I've got much school stuff to do, but do leave a comment with your thoughts.

Ahh.... I am so very happy right now.

Melty Rice: New Version... Again!

So according to Arcadia there will be yet another Melty Blood rendition, Actress Again. This prominently features Roa as a playable character, Reisbyfe (Sion's Last Arc Drive Partner), the addition of a groove system, and a guard meter along with interface tweaks.

I personally think this is a bit ambitious. Having a guard crush capability in this game has to be insane; you will spend half the time blocking; no, nearly all the time blocking if you're on the defensive, as there are so many linkers. Also note that this game is solely based around correct poke mixups and techniques; if the guard crush is too low for higher level play expect a decline in balance.

Also noted that Kohaku or Hisui don't appear to have a solo option; there's only one window of them both together, which is somewhat dissapointing. If twins are carried over without movement tweaks the stuff-fu 214s of Hisui and the 214 Amber Missiles of Kohaku can be called nothing short of nerfing for advanced players of the solo versions.

I also note that Reisbyfe seems to have a giant shield, which worries me due to clash frame possibilities (Can you hear that? That's Ciel dashing at you).

Well, all will be tested when a demo of sorts comes out. I'm just happy Aoko got some charming art, and hope they don't do anything too extreme to her moveset.

Let's just hope it won't be Actress Again to Act Cadenza as Soul Calibur 3 did to Soul Calibur 2's legacy.

Oh, and just out of curiosity, if you're reading this message leave me a comment. I'd like to know exactly how much visitation I get, and can increase posting accordingly.

Ah, I turned 19 on October 21st. Huzzah o/

Ani Rice: Even More Animated Miku

I wouldn't call it a step up from the previous video, but more evenly level.

Seems like all I do nowadays is post Miku stuff when I have the time. I should probably get back into talking Pangya or New Season Anime these days...

Flash Rice: Reimu no Saisenbako OR Donation Rushing

Donations for Reimu

Yet another distraction from the world of the Locker Room Productions, the ones behind Usatei, Overdrive, Marisa Stole the Precious Thing, Border of Death as well as Phantasmagoria Mystical Expectation.

Basically, it's a clicky racer. You have 30 seconds to donate as much 10 yen coins per click as you can. The higher the value goes, the more impressed Reimu is at the end.

The thing is just so blatantly hilarious, however...

High Energy Music, Disco-type lights, and a drinking calmly miko. Heh.

My current record is below. I could do better, but that's ok for now, methinks.

276 clicks in 30 seconds....

Ani Rice: Make Your Own Meme Singer

True My Heart sung by Hatsune Miku
Levan Polkka sung by Hatsune Miku
Mononoke Hime sung by Hatsune Miku

A software known as Vocaloid has been floating around the technological world for a while. Evidentally, this new version Vocaloid 2, has the capability to emulate songs as if an actual person was taking the effort to sing the song. A build-your-own seiyuu-voice if you will. Not to mention the character design is quite cute. I think I might dabble with this software if I am given the chance to do so. There's so much Engrish song mixing possible with this. It's truly amazing, and close to the real thing.

MAD Rice: Lucky Usatei Star

Need I say more? The whole thing is animated quite well, the contexts are edited correctly, and I like the touch during the gaming scene. SMASH YOUR WIKIS.

Ani Rice: Haruhi Follows Your Mouse Pointer!

Haruhi Follows Your Cursor

As much as I despise Java, this is a great use of it. This site utilizes the Java engine to create a Motion Following Haruhi. Move your cursor anywhere, her eyes follow! Zounds!

It's a good distraction for a bit, but one wonders if there will be any further developments.

Haruhi likes rice too.

Music Rice: Korean Band Caught Using FF:AC Copies Without Permission

It seems that there was a bit of a dispute between Square Enix and this Korean singer, IVY, about the similarity between both videos.

According to the video, it seems that they're down to a tier in terms of timing and filmography, as well as choreography.

One wonders what the staff behind IVY was thinking. Korea should have enough creativity given the vast amount of things they've done already; it is a pretty fashionable country.

Who were they trying to fool? Certainly not Square Enix.

Melty Rice: Results of Sac-Con

What I learned from my first tourney:

1) The more you think you're not nervous, the more you'll be.

2) NEVER 236C in the air, thinking it is safe. You're 2C/any ground combo fodder. (Then again, I never used this before, but for some reason I did just for the match :/)

3) Don't overplay before the day of.

That is all. I need revenge.

Or... maybe it's time to get back to my roots. Kooh did get a new outfit after all...

Mmm. Zippers and stripes.

Hmm... need I say more about this one? Not sure about the kinoko comment, however... Might be preliminary.

Melty Rice: Sac-Con Prepping Time.

Thankfully enough it seems I've improved a little bit in terms of combos and such. However, I've decided Kohaku is simply too slow and readable to be played seriously, thus Aoko will be my main.

Thing is that I'm a bit readable, and it's dishearting to see the highest Aoko in Japan knocked down by a quick two round in the Super Battle Opera...

Oh well. Guess I'll rise to the occasion, hopefully, heh.

Ani Rice: Aria to Come Out with Season 3

According to Anime News Network, through Moon Phase, Aria is going to have another season, known as Aria the Origination. The only idea I have for what this will be about is anything to do with the "Three Fairies" backstory; easygoing yet enjoyable.

Speaking of Aria... should probably get back on that.

Given what Tokyopop is aiming to do with the manga set from my friend Spiritesnare's blog, I think I'd best steer away from the SUPAR AWESUM MECHA GONDORA stuff and get to learning those kata/hira/kanjis. Now where did I put my learning CD...

Ahh.... Aria. To sing a song of life so the sun never disappears~

Hazukashii serifu kinshi!

Melty Rice: Kohaku Buffing

I was playing through Melty Blood: Act Candenza today and realized something.

The Kohaku Mr. China move, 41236 C in Heat, seemed like a useless change. Previously in Version 1.02 non-blood was hitting, but blockable, and viable to be jumped on reaction. However, in version 1.03 it is now unblockable. This is interesting, because basic shield contact ensures sprite to hit ground just as the animation finishes buffering; it successfully links to Mr. China, hitting for approximately 2.1k, given your opponent isn't expecting to double jump mid-A smacking, on the way to the floor. Probably only practical in Max modes, but interesting nevertheless.

Seems I can do the corner loop more reliably as well. Can't wait for tomorrow's session and the Sac-Con tournament this Sunday.
